The West End is London's iconic home of theatre and plays host to some of the most remarkable stage productions on show in the UK, from the likes of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to Hamilton, and we have some top tips and tricks for you when buying West End seats.
The price of a West End theatre show ticket varies depending on where you sit and what you see: limited-run shows, such as The Pillowman, will have a higher ticket price as you can only experience it for a few months. Shows like The Lion King has been running for over 20 years (with no sign of slowing down) so those tickets will be cheaper.
So, if you're not too bothered about where you sit, we'd recommend picking the cheapest seats to save money. Similarly, if you'd like to go to a West End show for the experience but you're not concerned about which show you see, be sure to select a cheaper one.
To get your hands on cheap theatre tickets, lovetheatre.com is a fantastic destination. Les Misérables is one of the best-loved shows on the West End. Wicked is one of the longer running musicals in the West End having been playing since 2006, but has had renewed popularity since the sing 'Popular' went viral on TikTok. Really enjoyed the show, especially Jake Wood. Having never watched Eastenders I had only read of him but he was brilliant. Rest of the cast were great too. I hope Danny Robbins has another play or two in mind.
The show was vibrant and professional in every way. It was not a usual choice for me which made it even better...I had no idea I would enjoy it so very much. It is probably not a show for children because of the language content. However, for musicianship coupled with a well presented story, it was faultless. The theatre was easy to find and the staff were welcoming and polite. The only criticism, from my point of view (which was also the view of the two people I was with), was that some members of the audience were poorly behaved; feet all over the seats, kicking the back of seats and making loud noises with food wrappings etc. This was no fault of the theatre, just something that particularly irritates me.
it's a slow build up 10 mins before show starts cast members slow walk around around stage showing jaw dropping figures/costumes I wasn't really into the story line but the stage sets / dancing to each song STUNNING 59ce067264
